Grab your fly fishing gear and join us for the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council's 2nd Annual Fly Fishing Tournament. Proceeds will go towards youth in our communities, assisting them to become a part of the scouting program.
You may fish on land or by boat. A photo submission format will make it possible for all fisherman to participate.
Fishing Boundaries:
- Venice Beach, Florida to North Anchlote Key Tapron
Schedule:
- 5/26/2023 - Mandatory Captains' Call for ALL registered participants | 6:30 PM
- 5/27/2023 - Fishing Day | Sunrise - 5:00 PM
Awards Dinner at Mullet's Fish Camp & Market, St. Pete | 6:30 PM
Rules:
- 1st place: $1,500,00 cash prize for largest combined Redfish and Trout
- 2nd and 3rd place cash for largest two Trouts combined
- Side contest most Sheepshead caught on fly wins a Galvin custom fly reel 7/8 wt.
- $20.00 raffle tickets for another Galvin 7/8 reel
*All anglers must download the "angler" app during the tournament.
The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council is one of the local councils in western Florida chartered by the Boy Scouts of America. The Council encompasses nine counties and serves more than 15.000 vouth in 189 Cub Scout packs, 192 Scouts BSA, 36 Venturing Crews, 5 Sea Scout Ships, and 26 Pathfinder Units.
