This is the Eastern Shore Fly Fishers annual angler of the year tournament for club members. The tournament is a remote fish on your own time event that is intended to motivate anglers to chase a large number of species, and try targeting fish they don’t always chase.

Rules and RegulationsClick to Read
All fish must be caught by method of fly to qualify.
Participants may utilize a motorized boat, paddle craft such as canoe and kayak, fish from a pier, or wade during tournament.
The size of fish will be determined by length for tournament results (as opposed to weight).
The photo submitted to record your catch must include a visible and verifiable ruler (soft or hard) appropriately positioned underneath fish, and the fly used to catch the fish. The front tip of the fish must be on the zero dimension mark and the length of fish will be determined by the end of the tail without pinching. Fork tails will be measured using fork length method.
How points will be awarded:
- Target species captured during their designated month will be worth 5pts, regardless of size. Only one capture will be scored for each species. You are allowed to upgrade your target species catch, but it will nullify point awarded for your smaller fish.
- At the end of each month, target species captured will be ranked, an additional 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1pts will be awarded to the largest 5 fish in both the salt and freshwater target species.
- Target species captured outside of their designated month will be awarded 0pts.
- Captures of any species (of any size) other than target species can be submitted at any time for 1pt; however, you can only submit each species one time (i.e. - cannot submit 3 hardhead catfish)
