INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP
Mickler's Landing Beach Park
County Road 203
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082

SMFCF is looking for community volunteers to help in a beach clean up occurring on Sept. 21. SMFCF is conducting this clean-up as part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Clean Up. SMFCF will offer trash bags and will dispose of any collected trash.

Volunteers will need to bring their own gloves, refillable water bottles, and are encouraged to dress for the weather. Please be prepared by wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Volunteers will break out in groups and one person in each group should have their cell phone to download the Clean Swell App to track the data of what trash was picked up (app training will occur on site). If you are interested in competing for the most trash collected, we will be having a "Trash Tournament" using the iAngler App. Please download these apps prior to the cleanup as service isn't always the best at the beach.

First 50-75 REGISTERED volunteers to check-in will receive "swag" from Fishbites- a company who makes fishing lures here local to St. Augustine area. Fishbites will also have a rewards package for the winner of the Trash Tournament and will provide pourable water for participants (please bring your own refillable bottles).

West Marine Town Center will also be on site with donations of goods and gear.

This event is open to all ages, however, parents must accompany their children. Please be sure to register all participants as we have to report back this data. We hope to see you there!
