The 2020 Trout Bash is winding down as we finish up the final hours of fishing. This is just a reminder that lines out is at 11:59pm tonight. Any submissions entered after this point will not be counted.

The top of the leaderboard is still up for grabs and there will be plenty of random drawings given out this week after we wrap things up so get out there and fish while you still can!

We'll be in touch as soon as we can about winners and random drawings as soon as we close everything up and get everything finalized on our end.

What a weekend! You guys really hit it hard in search of those 20+ trout and were submitting photos faster than we could judge them. With almost 300 fish submitted between Friday and Sunday we saw some really impressive effort out there and officially have a winner of our first bonus competition…

Congratulations to Anthony Fuhrer who logged a whopping 14 trout over 20 inches! He will receive a Daiwa BG combo and awesome Plano tackle bag donated to us by Capt. Jot Owens!

With that said, we would also like to announce our next bonus competition that will run from Thursday, December 24th through Sunday, December 27th:

• This Christmas Challenge will award an Engel 50 cooler to the angler with the longest 3 trout total during the 4 day period
• We will also hold our first random drawings to give away prizes to 2 lucky winners who submit fish during is 4 day window
• Winners will be announced and contacted early next week

Thank you to everyone who started submitting quick pictures of smaller fish and making for a speedier release. This was a huge help and we appreciate your cooperation to make this change on the fly.

We hope everyone has a great Christmas and we look forward to some more awesome fishing over the next two weeks to close out the 2020 Trout Bash!

Hey folks,

Coming up on 1 week into the Trout Bash and we’re off to a great start so far! With about 90 total anglers entered in the tournament we’ve already had 34 who have entered at least one fish for a total of 233 trout already submitted! We also already have some stiff competition at the top with several Release Over 20”s being caught and released out there and Garrett Boucher leading the way by a hair at the top of the leaderboard thus far.

As we head into the weekend, we’d like to make a couple of announcements:

• We will be kicking off our first bonus competition of the tournament starting tomorrow morning!
o The angler who submits the most trout over 20” will take home a Daiwa BG combo and Plano tackle bag which was donated to us by Captain Jot Owens out of the Wilmington area and is the very same tackle bag that he uses on his boat
o Don’t forget to submit all of your RO20”s to releaseover20.com and tag @releaseover20 @cca_nc and @eyestrikefishing on Instagram in pictures of yourselves releasing these fish to be featured on the page for conservation minded anglers all across the country to see!
o This competition will run from tomorrow, Friday 12/18 @ sunrise, through this Sunday, 12/20 @ midnight
o The winner will be announced on Monday and will be contacted about getting prizes sent to them
o Any ties for most 20”+ trout will be broken by total length of each one submitted over that size

• Our second announcement is that we would like to encourage everyone going forward to quickly take your photos of any undersized fish around the 14” or smaller so that they can be released as quickly as possible. We want to do everything we can to prevent any unnecessary discard mortality of juvenile fish and in order to do so we will no longer require these fish to be measured in order for them to count. This way we can get your entry for each fish to count toward our random drawings while allowing you to get these fish back in the water.
o We can see by the leaderboard what it will take to take home the top spots in the main competition so if a fish won’t become one of your 3 biggest then we encourage you to catch, photo, release without a measurement
o We hope everyone can understand our intentions with this minor change and we appreciate everyone’s support!

Welcome to iAngler Tournament!

To add your photo to the Leaderboard, using the iAngler Tournament web portal:

1. Select "Dashboard" on the navigation bar at the top of the screen
2. Select the "Update Profile" button in the box on the left side of the screen
3. Scroll down and you'll see an option to add your photo/picture
4. Select and upload a photo from your computer
5. Select "Save" to save your photo and updated profile

Your photo will now appear on the Leaderboard. The next time you open the iAngler Tournament app, your photo will appear in the app. 

To add your photo to your catch information on the Leaderboard using the mobile app, please do the following tasks:

1. Go to the iAngler Tournament app "Home" page. Your name appears at the top and 4 icons appear at the bottom.
2. Select the icon at the bottom right that looks like a Gear. This button displays your User Profile.
3. A camera icon appears to the left of your name. Select that icon.
4. Two options are presented - "Get from Camera" will allow you to take a photo, "Get from Album/Photo Library" will allow you to select a photo from your camera roll or gallery.
5. After you've selected a photo, select the "Save" icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Your profile update will be saved and posted online. Your photo will now appear on the Leaderboard with your catch information.
